While Onyx, my daughter, has experienced all types of food, having her eat healthy is extremely important to me. My goal is for her to balanced in areas of life especially food. I've come to understand that food is medicine and would love for her to know that as well. That being said, sometimes getting her to pick a healthier choice over something that is easy has been a challenge. Anytime I make something super healthy that she loves I will make that as many times as I can. One of her favorite healthy meals that I make is A sautéed cabbage slaw with a side. I've done potatoes, french fries, beans and cheese. (i Like raw cheese, its best for her)

All I use is a bag of cabbage slaw that has both read and green cabbage, broccoli, and carrots (Organic is best)

with unrefined coconut oil, olive oil, salt, pepper and Braggs Liquid Aminos...tadaaaa! She loves it. If she's had a binge of carbs, like french fries and crackers, this is something I like to add to the day to make sure she gets in her veggies. Keeping my that Onyx doesn't eat meat and was introduced to a vegetarian diet early on, it may not come as easy for other toddlers to eat veggies but I encourage you: DON'T GIVE UP! Try different variations. If your child likes a little sweet, try adding sweet potatoes and maple syrup on the side or even butter instead of oil. The possibilities are endless.

Let me know what you think. What are some of your ideas..
