Your Body Loves EXERCISE... it's FUN!

When you think about it.... our bodies love to be active. When you hop out of the bed after a good nights rest, what do you do? STRETCH. Stretching is EXERCISE! Or when you think about when you were a kid and you would love to go outside and run around or even walking around observing..Our bodies crave movement. Whatever your thing may be, walking, swimming, dancing, running, or even stretching (yoga) get your body moving!! Some have said that healthy food along with a regular exercise routine combats depression, anxiety, stress, diabetes, and even a number of cancers.

Recently I have started going to a Zumba class regularly as well as light weight training and cardio. Before my pregnancy, I had a strict workout regimen. I worked out 4 times a day with a mixture of cardio, calisthenics, and stretching. Due to being put on bed rest twice during my pregnancy, I had to take a huge step back when it came to working out. Without having that as an outlet, I fell into a depression ( while already experiencing post partum). It was a while after my pregnancy that I was able to get back moving again...it was challenging getting into a regular workout routine though.I was extremely frustrated with myself that I wasn't able to do something that had come so easily to me before. I've learned that it's ok...I have a baby now along with a several responsibilities I didn't have before..... things will not be as they were before...and that's ok....After two years of being off my game, I am so glad that I have been able to get back into it and am starting to find a bit of a rhythm. DANCE has always been a passion of mine..so getting back into it has been amazing. Not only do I feel stronger physically but also mentally.. mind, body, and soul. All three are connected.
